Austin Backyard Wedding Photos

Rachelle and Josh had gotten married two weeks earlier in New Orleans, but they knew they wanted to keep the celebration going. What resulted was an intimate reception in their own backyard. Their reception was full of personal touches, beautiful DIY elements, and a unique sense of style that could only be described as quirky vintage.

To start the reception, there was an entrance with guests throwing streamers at the couple. This was Rachelle’s most cherished moment of the day, and she made it especially clear that I needed to get this shot.

Evening activities included a mobile wood-fired pizza station, tearful toasts with laughs all around, a video and photo booth, a bar with the grooms home-brewed beer, and an active dance floor that was full of energy all night.

Thank you Rachelle and Josh for having me as your photographer!

These Austin Backyard Wedding Photos were taken by Day 7 Photography, an Austin Wedding Photographer available for travel throughout Texas and beyond. We create natural, candid, and organic wedding photos for the modern bride. DAY 7 is about slowing down and enjoying the world around us. I believe every wedding is a beautifully complex story filled with raw and authentic moments waiting to be captured. Taking on a limited number of weddings each year allows me to focus intensely on the detail of your unique wedding. I meet with every couple to determine how I can best fit your needs.
