Mariel first heard of me through some of her coworkers who I had worked with before. I remember sitting with Mariel and Michael in Houndstooth Coffee on N. Lamar and hearing about their dreams for their wedding. They wanted the day to be about family. They wanted their guests to have a blast. Lastly, they wanted the photos to be natural and candid, not posed or stiff. I instantly connected with them and their vision for their wedding, and it wasn’t long before we got to shooting their beach engagement session in Galveston. Connections like these make my heart warm!

The wedding was everything I expected, and more. With an amazing team of vendors, I knew this day would be full of greatness! The eager anticipation when reading each other’s letters, the butterflies that Michael felt before he saw Mariel for the first time, the happy tears during the Ketubah signing- all made this day so memorable.

So was it everything they hoped for when we first met? Absolutely. The laughter and smiles filling everyones faces, and Michael and Mariel’s uncontainable joy lead me to believe their dream wedding came true.
