I could not be more excited to post this! I love shooting proposals. There is something raw and beautiful that comes from proposals and celebrations like these, and it reminds me how lucky I am to call this my “job.”

It was a huge honor to be a part of Emily and Josh’s proposal, and it was so worth making a trip to Houston for one day. Josh and Emily had some of their first dates at this Starbucks, and it naturally became a central meeting place for them. Not only were Emily’s closest friends involved with the surprise proposal, but so were her parents. Josh told Emily that they would meet at the Starbucks in Katy, and lo and behold, Josh would be hiding nearby with the perfect plan. As a friend guided her towards the nearby courtyard, close friends and family would each hand her a rose, pointing her closer and closer to Josh. Although Emily knew I was photographing the whole thing, it didn’t keep the tears from flowing! With tears and laughter all around, Emily said ‘Yes,’ and the rest was history 🙂
