Kim Son Wedding Photos

Josh and Lily were my last wedding of 2015, and the year couldn’t have ended any better with them. Josh and I went to high school and church together growing up, so it was an even greater honor to be a part of this celebration.

The day started with some weird weather. If you remember the end of 2015, it was hot for most of December with weather being in the 70’s. During their wedding, a cold front came and the weather dropped to the 30’s. It was all so strange, but it didn’t keep Josh and Lily from celebrating!

Josh and Lily had a foot washing as part of the ceremony, and this may have been my favorite part of the day. A foot washing is a Christian symbol of loving and serving one another. In bible-times, peoples feet were the dirtiest part of their bodies since they wore sandals everywhere, and still Jesus washed his disciples’ feet. Josh and Lily washing each others feet shows me that they love each other unconditionally, and they’re the kind of people to share that with those around them.

Kim Son Wedding Photos were taken by Day 7 Photography, an Austin Wedding Photographer available for travel throughout Texas and beyond. We create natural, candid, and organic wedding photos for the modern bride. DAY 7 is about slowing down and enjoying the world around us. I believe every wedding is a beautifully complex story filled with raw and authentic moments waiting to be captured.
