Cancun Honeymoon Photos

Everything about the honeymoon was perfect. While wedding planning, we would dream of our honeymoon, and we just couldn’t wait to get to a place where we could just relax and eat all day. We chose Cancun because our main criteria were: 1) swimming with animals, 2) beach, and 3) all-inclusive. We’ve both never been to Cancun for vacation, so this was an easy choice.

All photos were taken with the Fuji x100 and the iPhone 5s. I was excited to leave my DSLRs at home, and having the more portable cameras was really nice. When we weren’t laying on the beach sipping on margaritas, we did just about every excursion worth doing. We went snorkeling, zip lining in the jungle, swimming with sea turtles, visited some ruin cities, rode dune-buggies, and we swam with dolphins!

Ten days in Mexico was the perfect getaway, but towards the end, we were getting excited to see our friends back home. We couldn’t wait to get settled into our apartment together as a couple, and we couldn’t wait to be back in the best city in the world, Austin. Being back home now, I keep thinking about my next trip to Cancun, and these photos are really making me miss the beach!

These Cancun Honeymoon Photos were taken by Day 7 Photography, an Austin Wedding Photographer available for travel throughout Texas and beyond. We create natural, candid, and organic wedding photos for the modern bride. DAY 7 is about slowing down and enjoying the world around us. I believe every wedding is a beautifully complex story filled with raw and authentic moments waiting to be captured. Taking on a limited number of weddings each year allows me to focus intensely on the detail of your unique wedding. I meet with every couple to determine how I can best fit your needs.
